I {Heart} Card Sketch #38: Hope

Good Morning Crafties! Today is the start of a super fun Sketch Challenge at I {Heart} Card Sketch.  I followed it closely since it is such a great sketch.

See....pretty cool sketch huh?

Here is my card in the upright position.  My Mom came to visit and brought me some Stampin Up "In colors" cardstock - so beautiful and I had to put it to use immediately!  I love the butterfly stamp and wanted to make a special card for my sister-in-law who is a survivor!

The butterfly is paper pieced and the stitching is with my sewing machine.

Materials used:

Paper - My Mind's Eye "Lucky In Love"
            LilybeeDesign "Harvest Market"
Cardstock - Stampin Up "Midnight Muse" & "Primrose Petals"
Spellbinders - nestabilities dies
Sizzix - Beach Embossing folder set

Thanks for peeking!

Handmade Harbour Challenge #8 - "Let's Hear it for the Boys"

Man-Cards are notoriously hard to make.  Probably because we can't use our pretty flourishes, paper,  and flowers.  This cool van image helped this card to come together and it was fun to color a non-human object.

You can find this digi at Handmade Harbour and while you are there check out this week's challenge - For Men or Boys!  The winner gets 3 free digs, so it's definitely worth playing!

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge 73 - Polka Dots!

Good Morning Crafties! Today is an awesome challenge at Loves Rubber Stamps - POLKA DOTS! Hoot! I love polka dots here and I'm thinking you have some cute ones in your stash as well.  The sponsor is Birdie Brown AND QKR Stampede so you have a chance for tons of great prizes.  Plus you also have a chance to win a Gift Certificate from the Loves Rubber Stamps store.

For this project I used the Birdie Brown Retro Girl digi image and I paper pieced her dress, earrings, and headband with polka dots.  Hmmmmm, I really am kind of in a mod streak and been using a lot of black lately.  You know how it is, you get in a streak of something and all your cards have that special "thing" on them.

Handmade Harbour {Harvest Time} Challenge

Midweek Papercraft Party at Handmade Harbour Oct. 2 - Oct. 9

Good morning Crafties!

In our family we celebrate Harvest Time and I thought this little tag was a perfect addition to my son's lunch pail.  I used the darling little lion stamp from Handmade Harbour.  After coloring him up I used some alphabet stickers for my son's name, and a little grass die cut to give some dimension.  I used my laminator machine to laminate, but if you don't have a laminator you can get it done at an office supply store for a reasonable price I'm told.

Thanks for peeking and hope to see you join in the fun at Handmade Harbour papercraft party this week!
