Lawn Fawn - Textures with Reindeer

The Lawnscaping Challenge this week is all about TEXTURE!  I was challenged to use some of my corrugated cardboard and burlap.  The little deer is from Lawn Fawn's Party Animal.  The cardstock is from Lawn Fawn's Beachside paper pack.  

I colored this little deer with my Copics (E15, E25, E44, W2, W4) and am really practicing shading. I tend to make it too subtle by blending too much, so my goal is now to make the shading stand out a little more.  

After making this card I couldn't decide if I liked it with the Doodlebug Red Letters spelling out "Sam" or without! So I took picture of both! And still can't decide.....which do you like better?

Avery Elle, Another Storybook Card

Good Morning! I made another card for the Challenge over at Avery Elle and it was really fun to make!  I decided to use Kraft cardstock as my non-white card base.

To make this car I used Avery Elle's Storybook images and Storybook die to cut the deer, then I colored with my Copics.  I was really happy with how the Copic coloring turned out.

The browns I used for the deer are E15, E25, E44, W4.

First I used an old toothbrush to flick liquid frisket (white mask) to the cardstock.  After it was dry I used Memento dye ink to blend the sky into a winter hill scene.  Then I inked my sentiment from Avery Elle and gave it a light cover with yellow Memento.

Avery Elle ~Storybook~

Good Morning! I made today's card for the Challenge over at Avery Elle and it was really fun to make!

To make this car I used Avery Elle's Storybook images and Storybook die to cut and color the rabbit & butterflies with my Copics.  

To color the brown rabbit I used Copics E23, E55 and W4.

I used Memento dye ink to blend the grass and the sky and cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  Then I inked my sentiment from Mama Elephant in white and heat embossed it on brown cardstock. I also heat embossed the Avery Elle butterflies on the cardstock.  

To finish I tied some red/white Bakers twine and popped the whole thing on some plain red cardstock.  

I love this Avery Elle Storybook set!

Glue Card with The Greeting Farm

Hi crafters, so the challenge at The Greeting Farm for September is Back To School.  I want to start using my Silhouette Cameo more combined with my card making and I was inspired by this Glue card cut file.  

To make this card, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the pieces of the card from different colored yardstick.  Then I colored up this  Teacher Anya using my Copics.  I found the perfect sentiment from Papertrey Ink. Then I tied it up with some Baker's Twine.  

The Copics I used are:  

Hair:  B41, C3, C5,C7, C9

Skin:  E53, E55

Skirt:  W2, W4

Shirt:  B34, B41

The Greeting Farm - Back to School

Hi, so the challenge at The Greeting Farm for September is Back To School.  I colored up this  Teacher Anya using my Zig Watercolors.  I found the perfect sentiment from Papertrey Ink and I can't wait to give this to my daughter's teacher, who is such a sweetie.  

I still love my Copics, but the Zigs are nice for a fast color up!   Thanks for peeking! 

SAF 2015 "Mixing Patterns" Challenge

Still finishing up posting my Stamp a Faire 2015 challenge cards.  I watched Betsy Veldman's great video on patterns you can find it HERE.  I was inspired to make this card for the Patterns Challenge.  

I used the Julia Nutting mixed media doll stamp (since I don't have the PTI Fashion doll - yet! I did order it yesterday).  I did draw in her eye and nose, since these dolls don't have faces.  The papers are from My Minds Eye called a Mother's Love and I paper pieced her dress.  

The Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink called Flower Garden Sentiments. 

I was really inspired by Betsy Veldman's suggestions on using 3 patterned papers, large scale, medium scale and small scale.

SAF 2015 - Patterns Challenge

I am participating in the Papertrey Ink Stamp A Faire today and the first challenge was a wedding card. While I love making an all white card, I am of the age where my friends aren't getting married anymore and I think the last wedding I went to was about 6 years ago.  

So instead, I decided to do this Patterns Challenge to make a boy Birthday card because one thing I always need with the kids is birthday cards.  Her is the gorgeous pattern by Lexi Daly (thanks for such a great pattern Lexi!).  I love the clean styling.

Here is my version of the card.  

I used my favorite boy stamp set from Papertreyink.

I paired it with bright patterned paper since the stamps are all black.  Hope you like it and thanks for peeking!
