Papertrey Ink Make it Monday with Stripes

Good Morning craft-a-holics! Today I made a card for the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday Challenge #226 to use stripes on your card.  I chose to use the stripes to ground the image.

Stamps used are the sheep, grass and sentiment from Papertrey Ink and the heart lines are from Your Next Stamp.  Thanks for peeking!

Penguin Treat Box with Papertrey Ink

So I have a weekly roll on the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday Challenge #228 and I'd like to see how long I can keep it going, since I love participating in the PTI challenges!

This weeks challenge is make a Die Cut Shaped Box.  There is an awesome tutorial by Ashley Cannon Newell HERE.

For my project I used the Mason Jar die cut and stamp from Lawn Fawn.  The penguin, sentiment and snowflakes are all from the Papertrey Ink Winter Penguin Stamp set.
I love the little treat box, but I am actually equally proud of my photography, since all of my photos are just shot in my kitchen on my iPad camera! I then clean it up with photoshop.

I have always loved photography so Im sure I will have to cave in and buy a DSL camera one day, for now I say I have enough hobbies!

Thanks for looking!

Coffee Lovers Fun...

I am happy to join in on the fun of the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  I created this card using Distress Ink and the Fishers coffee stamp set.  I colored it up with copies and added Fall colors to the card.

I just had to share my 2 favorite "oldies but goodies" coffee quotes:

A Penny Black "Snow Day"

I live in California where it's almost 90 degrees right now, so the idea of snow in September is a nice dream.  But I love Penny Black's little Mimi stamps.  She is so adorable and Im glad I got a chance to ink this cutie up.  I colored her with Copics and added Marvy puff snow to accent, paper pieced the curtains, and die cut the sentiment "Smile" with patterned paper.

Im entering this in the Penny Black Saturday challenge for September which is use 3 Designer papers.

Thanks for peeking!

One Layer with Lawn Fawn

The Lawn Fawn challenge this week is one layer card.  I find one layer cards a lot harder to make because I always want to add something.  I decided to use Flutter By a lesser known Lawn Fawn set, but I love the beautiful stained glass look.

This was heat embossed then colored with Copics.  I am entering this in the Lawnscaping One Layer challenge.  Thanks for looking.

Paper Smooches ~Free Digi~ Link

Lots of Paper Smooches love to share today, so let's get started!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Sept. 20-26  has a theme of Anything Goes as long as you use a Paper Smooches product.  For my card above I used two sentiments from the Bold Buzzwords stamp set.  It's a very versatile set!

I also used the super cute Paper Smooches free "Bee" Digi found here.

To make 2 bee buddies I just mirror imaged one in Word and shrunk him a little.  I colored both these guys up with my Copics yellow Y04, Y13, Y38 and W4 for shading since there wasn't enough contrast with just the yellows.

To make the contrasting black/white text I used this super fun technique found in this Danielle Flanders video tutorial.  The whole project was such fun and I am entering it in the Sparks Challenge.  Also in the Marker Pop Challenge #78 Booyah for the Halloween colors and copic coloring.

Your Next Stamp - Sketch & Color Challenge #23

Happy Fall Y'all....I made this card for Your Next Stamps Color Challenge #23.  Here was the very grown-up color palette, I just love the gray & brown together.

For my card I used the YNS Background Stamps called "Dots & Hearts". It is on sale for $7.98 which is a bargain and it has all these different background options:
I used the middle size dots and Spicy Marmalade and Wild Honey distress inks, and lightly misted with water before making my background paper.  Its very relaxing to make your own background, plus you can get it any color you need it to be.
To finish this card, I used the adorable little squirrel and sentiment from the YNS Autumn Greetings stamp set.

I colored the squirrel up with my new favorite combo of Copics - Y35, YR14, YR 15, and W4-.  I will be entering this card in the YNS Sketch & Color Challenge #23, hope you enjoy it!
