The Greeting Farm - Back to School

Hi, so the challenge at The Greeting Farm for September is Back To School.  I colored up this  Teacher Anya using my Zig Watercolors.  I found the perfect sentiment from Papertrey Ink and I can't wait to give this to my daughter's teacher, who is such a sweetie.

I still love my Copics, but the Zigs are nice for a fast color up!   Thanks for peeking!

SAF 2015 "Mixing Patterns" Challenge

Still finishing up posting my Stamp a Faire 2015 challenge cards.  I watched Betsy Veldman's great video on patterns you can find it HERE.  I was inspired to make this card for the Patterns Challenge.

I used the Julia Nutting mixed media doll stamp (since I don't have the PTI Fashion doll - yet! I did order it yesterday).  I did draw in her eye and nose, since these dolls don't have faces.  The papers are from My Minds Eye called a Mother's Love and I paper pieced her dress.

The Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink called Flower Garden Sentiments.

I was really inspired by Betsy Veldman's suggestions on using 3 patterned papers, large scale, medium scale and small scale.

I am also entering the 7 Kids College Fund challenge.  You kind find Julie Nutting images at 7 kids college fund store HERE.

SAF 2015 - Patterns Challenge

I am participating in the Papertrey Ink Stamp A Faire today and the first challenge was a wedding card. While I love making an all white card, I am of the age where my friends aren't getting married anymore and I think the last wedding I went to was about 6 years ago.

So instead, I decided to do this Patterns Challenge to make a boy Birthday card because one thing I always need with the kids is birthday cards.  Her is the gorgeous pattern by Lexi Daly (thanks for such a great pattern Lexi!).  I love the clean styling.

Here is my version of the card.

I used my favorite boy stamp set from Papertreyink.

I paired it with bright patterned paper since the stamps are all black.  Hope you like it and thanks for peeking!

Back to School with C.C. Designs

So its back to school next week for my Preschooler.  I made this card for his teacher using the adorable Pollycraft schoolboy stamp.

Pollycraft is made by C.C. Designs and you can find it at 7 Kids College Fund store.  I used paper by Lawn Fawn called Sweater Weather.  I stamped the sentiment using white ink onto an actual little tiny blackboard that I had been saving to use.

I am entering in the 7 Kids College challenge #133 which is Anything Goes with a Twist of Back to School.  Thanks for peeking.

Papertrey Ink: Project Stamp-a-Faire 2015

Hi all! Papertrey Ink is having an online party this weekend called Project Stamp-A-Faire where crafters can all join in on the fun.  I was very much inspired by the beautiful new stamp set which I don't have yet:

So I improvised for the Friday night fashion show, I made this little girl's shirt for one of my crafter friend's daughters and had so much fun!  I had never used Heat Transfer Flocking material before, so after a couple of trial and errors I got the words right.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the vinyl and my household iron to heat press it.

The butterflies I added with archival ink using Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Butterflies set that I can't stop using! I stamped in 2 colors, yellow and pink, for an off center look.

It was so much fun to make! Thanks for visiting!

Papertrey Ink - Die Cut Kissing

Challenge #222 at Papertrey Ink is to create a card using Die Cut Kissing.  Which means you use the die cut to make an impression  on an inked stamp, then stamp the inked stamp.  They have a great tutorial on it HERE.

The die cut I used is Memory Box branches:

The stamps I used are Papertrey Ink Beautiful Butterflies:

And the ink I used is 4 different shades of Memento Dew drops blue.
I am entering it in the Make it Monday Challenge, Die Cut Kissing. at Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for peeking.

Embossing with Lawn Fawn Turtle

Ive had so much fun with Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Ocean set (not a new set, but new to me  :-)
The Challenge this week at Lawn Fawn is embossing - fun!

I made this card using the Critters in the Ocean set, Lawn Fawn new Beach Side paper in red, and the Lawn Fawn waves set.  I also added some Diamond Accents to the shells of the turtle and lobster.

Thanks for peeking!
