Those following along know that I am a little bit obsessed about the Papertrey Ink products and tutorials lately, and for good reason!.
This week's Make it Monday #224 tutorial and challenge from Papertrey Ink is just as awesome as always and features a great technique video by Danielle Flanders you can find HERE. I don't have the stripes cover plate, and made it without. Danielle has simple instructions for both!
Here is the card I made to enter the challenge....and it has so much drama, I really love it. And I got to use my Pretty Lady Fashion stamp from PTI again, bonus!
To make the card I just stamped her out over some watercolor paper I had made with my Kuratake Zigs and fussy cut it. I also made a matching background. The rose is from the Bigger Blooms stamp set. And the big Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Think Big Favories #12 stamp set.
Here is a close up, thanks for looking!

Beautiful colors with the black and white, love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of that image! I like that you coordinated the background as well. Very subtle but it adds another nice pop of color.

ReplyDeleteYour water coloring adds so much to the black and white stripes. Great take on the challenge and awesome idea to watercolor your white edges to coordinate with Fashion Sense!
