Flat Friends February Challenge - Love

Good Morning crafty friends! Today is the First Challenge of the Year for Flat Friends - and it is a fun one, because "Make More Than 1 Fold" is a chance to get crazy.  Don't forget the new rules at Flat Friends allows you to use Any Image you would like, so join in on the fun!

For my card today I went straight for one of Flat Friends new Digi Stamps.  This little gal is called "Love is In The Air" and you can purchase her at the Flat Friends ETSY Store here.

I like doing different kinds of folds in cards and I had been wanting to try the Flying Butterflies Cut-Out by Brenda Quintana which is one of the Scor Pal Tutorials.  Here is my creation:

I used the adorable Doodlebugs Designer Paper from the "Sweetheart" line, as well as WE R MEmory Keepers Designer Paper from "Crazy for You".  I used the MFT Dienamics heart dies, I believe it was from Blueprint 6.  I used a Martha Steward punch for the scalloped border.  The sentiment is a Die Cut chipboard from Melissa Frances.  I colored her with Copics and I used ribbon from my stash!

Hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it and be sure to check out the other designers at Flat Friends, they are sure to inspire you!  Join in on this fun Challenge!

Loves Rubber Stamps - Challenge 88 "Use Lace"

Good Morning crafty friends~

Today is a new Challenge at Loves Rubber Stamps....Challenge 88 is going to be lots of fun and get your gears going - because it is a "Use Lace" Challenge.  Even more fun Crafty Sentiments is donating the prize to the lucky challenge winner.

For my card below, I used a Crafty Sentiment image called Jason and Eve.  I used photoshop to just focus on Eve and cut Jason out of the image (sorry Jason)! Which is one of the cool things about digs, you can adjust it to fit the card you are making.

The blue lace below I got at an estate sale and it is very old....glad I got to use it!

Here is a close up:

Since I had my sewing machine out I also stitched in blue around the design paper and stitched the lace & bow in place.  Thanks for peeking!

From The Heart Stamps - Sketch 51 - Sewing Fun

Good Morning ladies!

Since today my card theme is "Sewing" I decided to show a little project I sewed in the past, a baby quilt for my adorable nephew Jack. The fabric I used is from Moda.  I especially loved sewing the free form quilting over the top (the little circles):

For my card today, it is for the new Sketch Challenge over at From the Heart Stamps and the sketch is a cutie!
Keeping with the Valentine Theme, I used the digi stamp Love You To Stitches, which I love!

I wanted to use my sewing machine because of the "stitches" theme in the card, so I got it out and went for the red zig zag.  Ok, I have to say, it was very fun sewing and it has been too long.  Ever since I started making cards my sewing has been neglected, but I hope to be able to balance both.  So here is my card:

Hope you all have a wonderful day and play along with us at From the Heart Stamps Challenges.

Paper Temptress Baby Onesie Card

Materials Used:

Paper Temptress Hambly Screen Print Overlay
Spellbinders Nestabilities Squares & Square Scallop
Striped Designer Paper from Crate Paper "Fourteen"
Memory Box Letter Alphabet Die

Patricia from the Paper Temptress has some awesome paper in her store.  I love this onesie layover screen print, which is sort of like having images stamped on acetate.  Sooooo cute and fun to work with.

She has over a hundred different designs to choose from and sells some packages of 6x6 with 12 different overlays for less than $3! This onesie overlay makes me miss those days when my little one could still wear a onesie! But not enough to do it again! LOL....

Paper Temptress is a lovely scrapbooking and
crafting store filled with high-quality papers
and embellishments.  All sorts of sweetness!
