By The Sea

This is a little LaLaLand Digi stamp colored using Copic Markers.
The lace is a vintage garage sale find and I had fun finally putting it to use.

Entering in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp  - by the sea
Marker Pop - #26 anything goes
Divas by design - tag

So I did a little sewing today on a quilt block I am doing for my flickr Quilt Bee
We Bee With It Quilt Bee and I did miss sewing, since Ive been cardmaking so much, I got to thinking what do I love about both.....

What I love about cardmaking:
small size easy to photograph
endless options for layouts & design
can be cheap gratification (can buy a digi for $3 if you are bored)
coloring
lots of friendly and supportive online stamping community

What I love about sewing/quilting:
touching the fabric
having a beautiful quilt or outfit at the end to use
planning the design

well I love both and dont plan to give any craft up any time soon.
poor hubby.....

Paper Piecing

Technique - paper piecing

I have tried English paper piecing with fabric and I enjoyed it so I thought I would try card making paper piecing, and this little card is my second attempt. I kept it simple with a white color story.

I love this little stamp from DisDigiDesigns because it was easy to paper piece and color.  I also used Bazzil card stock, copics, white ribbon, nestabilities dies, sizzix embossing folder.  The paper on her dress and flower is from Recollections called Sweet Flora.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

disdigidesigns  - paper-piecing
Totally Gorjuss 192 - something sweet
Marker Pop 26 - copic pens
DRS Designs - monochromatic
Divas By Design - charming
Challenges 4 Everybody - anything goes

Do you also enjoy paper piecing in cardmaking?
