Your Next Stamp - Sketch Challenge

So I have been wanting to play along with Your Next Stamps 2015 Challenges.  Last week I made the card below for Challenge #6, but got so busy I didn't have time to post it or enter it in the Challenge!

Sheesh!  So this morning when I had a little [stolen] time to craft, I decided to make a card for the YNS Challenge #7 based on this fun sketch and post it right away...

I had lots of fun coloring this YNS scuba fish and using the sketch. In fact, I plan to make another card with this sketch! yay!

The Greeting Farm - Tag your It

This weeks challenge over at The Greeting Farm is "words" so I made this tag for my new planner journal I talked about in my blog post here.  I love the blue colors and purple together!

The image is from this Magical Kit I treated myself to awhile back, but this is the first stamp I used from it and can't wait to try some of the others.

I colored the image with some of my favorite Copic colors, E000, E00 and E21 for skin. And I used the Yr24 line for her swimsuit and flowers.

Whimsy Doodles - Love is in the Air

Hello all! So my preschooler is sick home from school for the last two days (again!) and I needed to have some crafting time or go crazy…I decided to make a Valentine's card for the Love Is in The Air challenge over at Whimsy Doodles Stamps.  They have such adorable images!

I sponged the distress ink on the sides, with the die still in the frame.  This makes the nice white "border".   And layered and layered….:-) I had way too much fun making this card.  It definitely took me away for a little while…...Hope you join in the challenge as well.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today's verse over at Word Art Wednesday is from John and is about God's loving hopes for each of us.  It was the perfect verse for the cover of this card holder I made for my Auntie Donnie as a Christmas present.  Its a little late!  

After a year of card making, I have a big box of cards collecting.  I hate to seem them just sitting there, so I thought it would be nice to gather some together in a nice box as a gift.  I scoured the internet for tutorials and ended using the fabulous tutorial from Lime Doodle Design.

Here is the inside of the card holder I made.  And here are the four cards I chose for the gift.

Let it Snow with Penny Black

Just wanted to pop in with this card I made for the 7 Kids Challenge this week, "Let it Snow".  I used the Penny Black stamp and colored her with Copics.  The sentiment is also from Penny Black.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the background and the file is from Kristen Magee.

Day Planner Fun….

Just wanted to share my new planner for 2015 and the pages for next week…….

Have you noticed all the adorable planners on Pinterest?  Above on my Pinterest tab, I have a whole board on adorable planners I have seen.  I decided to hop on the Planner bandwagon myself, since I desperately need to keep better organized and know what I am supposed to be doing each day.  

It's embarrassing to admit but I missed several appointments last year….just completely forgot about them and didn't show up.  I know it's a cliche, the stay-at-home mom saying she's busier now than when she was working out of the home…so I won't say it…..but I do feel I am running around an awful lot each week with 3 kids at different stages (3 year old preschooler, 10 year old middle schooler, 12 year old pre-teen).

About the planner, I really enjoyed the extravagance of making something that I felt was adorable and special…just for me.  Yes I will share it on my blog at times, but there are lots of the planner that only I will see. That is very different than a card or a quilt I make for others to enjoy.  

Im looking forward to how this new Journey progresses…..

Word Art Wednesday - Matthew 5:16

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today's verse over at Word Art Wednesday is from Matthew.  My Mom was here over the weekend from out of state (she lives in Hawaii~) and we had fun coming up with this card.  She is the one who got me into copics and coloring, and she has some copics over 12 years old (she dates them!).   To make my card today Iweused the adorable image Mimi from Penny Black. I used my Silhouette to cut the shape behind the verse and copics to  color her up.
