Scrappers Delight also generously provided us with this image to work with. I know she is supposed to be a Super Hero but for some reason I could not get the "metal" and "robot" theme out of my head. So she is a robotic Super hero! LOL! The beautiful paper is called mirrored reflective cardstock from Paper Temptress.
Here is today's card:
Stash Gears & Sizzix Embossing Folders
I was very pleased with how the coloring came out. A hard part for me to learn has been that I have to go a lot darker with my copics for photographs than I would normally use for a card that would only be viewed in person, but if I use too light a hand in coloring then the definition doesn't show up !

Awesome image and paper. I love the emboss and gears.
ReplyDeleteOh your coloring is awesome and I love the fabulous card design and I actually needed your metal and card design for my robot, lol. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWow-zers! This is awesome. The image matches the mirrored paper perfectly...very "out of this world" feel to it. Just gorgeous! Love the embossing. I saw this metal paper at my local craft store and after seeing your card I will have to get some! Gorgeous card! xx Becky
ReplyDeletep.s. You selected my card as the Loves Rubber Stamps DT Fav for the last challenge (#91). I just wanted to thank you with all of my heart. I was truly honored and can't thank you enough. I actually did a special post on my blog about it! Thank you again for selecting my card. You are "out of this world" too! xx Thank you, thank you, thank you!
And this was the second one. Hi Laura,
ReplyDeleteI just got your comment as I was searching The Paper Temptress blog for clues on the best way to use her wonderful paper. The third card is yours. It is a wonderful use of color.
The dry embossed MR paper is magnificent as is the whole card.
Do you know of any tutorials using her paper? I have been searching....
Blessings Carole
This is so cool Laura! That paper is perfect and what a great idea to emboss it! The gears are a great touch too! Your robotic superhero girl is awesome!!! :)
