November 1st - Blog Hop "From The Heart Stamps"

It's the first of the month - and its time for From The Heart Stamps Blog hop. We are celebrating birthdays today!  If you joined us last month, it's great to have you hopping with us.  If you are new this month - welcome!   Enjoy the cards and treats you will find on this hop.
If you have arrived Kathy, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From The Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Please don't forget to leave a comment.  I love to read what you write and one random commenter will win this adorable digi below - Birdie and Balloon!

Plus, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $5 gift voucher to the store!
We are also having a little word search today. As you stop on each blog collect the special letter they have for you. Put the letters together for a message. Everyone who figures out the message can use it as a code to receive 50% off of one image in the birthday section of the FTHS shop. The code will be good until Monday Nov. 4th at 6 am, EST. My letter for you is ...

Here is my project, using Birdie and Balloon.

Materials used:

Copics - Birdie BG 10, BG11, BG000, BG13, BG15; R29; Beak YR20; Balloon shading C1
Paper - Crate Paper "Harvest Market"
Ink - Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen (sponging sides)
Dies - Spellbinders Nestabilities Ovals; Whimsy Stamps Corner Dies Set; MFT banners
Stash - Rhinestones, fuzzy ribbon
White Cardstock - Cryogen

Card Instructions:

Make top fold card out of white cardstock 5.25 " square.  Cut designer paper (dots) 5" square; distress sides of paper; sponge sides with Antique Linen Distress Ink; glue onto the 5"square white card stock.  Cut solid blue square 4" square; distress; sponge with Antique Linen; and glue onto the blue cardstock.  Attach corner embellishments and rhinestones.  Glue on fuzzy ribbon.  Cut 1 pieces of red card stock 4.5" x 1.5" and 1 piece of red card stock 5" x 2". Distress sides, then glue over the fuzzy ribbon.  Print Birdie and Balloon digi image onto Cryogen (or some people like Neenah as well); cut with oval die and color with Copics.  Tape some designer paper (red/white dots) over where the balloon will print, then print out a second image of Birdie and Balloon; fussy cut the balloon then glue onto the original image (the one colored with Copics).  Cut another slightly larger oval out of blue card stock and glue both ovals to top of card.  Use the banners die to cut out the sentiment.  Use the die as a  stencil to trace a larger banner out of blue stock.  Glue both to card with sticky dots.
Now head over to Lyn to visit her lovely creation.

Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday November 4th at 6am, EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday November 6th.
See you there!
