Self-Portrait....

"Captured Memories" is the sentiment and I am not sure how this turned out a self portrait, but this project had a life of it's own.  I love these Dilly bean images because they are a little quirky.  The Dilly Beans challenge was to use ribbon, and I wanted to try a different route so I punched holes in the card and did "Corset" kind of ribbon tie.  Hope you like it!

This is the layout I used from Sketch N Stash:

You can never have too many tiny clothes pins when you are a carmaker!

Materials used:

Polaroid frame - Lawn Fawn
Sentiment - printed from computer

I {Heart} Card Sketches 035

Good Morning crafties!  Well this is my first "unofficial" post as a DT member at From the Heart Stamps.  I say unofficial, because I technically start on October 1 - so I jumped the gun a little.  Shhhhhh......

I had a couple ideas and wanted to use From the Heart Stamps Sketch 035 as the layout.  It's really a fun layout.

I wanted to make a card with a slider component.  I used my Craft Knife to cut the small slider line.  The curves where easier to make with a regular hole punch.  Then I attached 2 pennies with 3-D tape and put one side under the slider and the top side I glued the bunny image to it.  Now bunny can slide back and forth.

Also, I wanted to use a non-Autumn digi and make it look like an Autumn image.  I chose this super cute Spring digi from From The Heart Stamps called Bunny Hello.  As you can see it's kind of a Spring image.

See how Fall/Autumn it looks with different coloring and sentiment! That's what I love about digital images, you can really change it up.

This little bunny slides left and right.  My kids loved playing with it, so it's definitely kid approved.  Give Sketch 035 a try and play along in our challenge From the Heart Stamps Sketch Challenge.

Pearl and the Rice Paper....

Good Morning Crafties! This beautiful image is from Lacy Sunshine and her name is Pearl.  I can tell you first hand she is FUN to color and if you haven't tried any of the Lacy Sunshine digis yet, don't wait any longer.

I decided to use some of my treasured rice paper my mother gave me from Japan, which I blogged about here paper love.  Its such beautiful paper I think this pretty mermaid was a good match! Hope you enjoy this little card.

The sentiment says "Floating by to Say Hi!".  I think it's hilarious that I glued the "to say Hi" part on first and didn't notice it until I had already taken the photos.  Oh well, I kind of like it this way, a little quirky.

Materials used:

image - Lacy Sunshine Pearl digi (I flipped her to make her a mirror image)
Coloring - Copics
Paper - Japanese rice paper & Bazzil card stock
Dies - Nestabilities rectangles

Sew Wonderful....

The Handmade Harbour Challenge this week is "Happy Days".  This made me think of sewing since a day involved in a sewing project is indeed Happy.  The card pattern is called Sunburst and if you google there are lots of tutorials.  I made up my own measurements, but didn't write it down or I would have shared them here.  I added stitching over the patterned paper.

Materials used:

Paper - Raspberry Road Designs
Coloring - Copics
Sentiment - Some Odd Girl
Sewing machine
