Pearl and the Rice Paper....

Good Morning Crafties! This beautiful image is from Lacy Sunshine and her name is Pearl.  I can tell you first hand she is FUN to color and if you haven't tried any of the Lacy Sunshine digis yet, don't wait any longer.

I decided to use some of my treasured rice paper my mother gave me from Japan, which I blogged about here paper love.  Its such beautiful paper I think this pretty mermaid was a good match! Hope you enjoy this little card.

The sentiment says "Floating by to Say Hi!".  I think it's hilarious that I glued the "to say Hi" part on first and didn't notice it until I had already taken the photos.  Oh well, I kind of like it this way, a little quirky.

Materials used:

image - Lacy Sunshine Pearl digi (I flipped her to make her a mirror image)
Coloring - Copics
Paper - Japanese rice paper & Bazzil card stock
Dies - Nestabilities rectangles

Sew Wonderful....

The Handmade Harbour Challenge this week is "Happy Days".  This made me think of sewing since a day involved in a sewing project is indeed Happy.  The card pattern is called Sunburst and if you google there are lots of tutorials.  I made up my own measurements, but didn't write it down or I would have shared them here.  I added stitching over the patterned paper.

Materials used:

Paper - Raspberry Road Designs
Coloring - Copics
Sentiment - Some Odd Girl

Washi Tape Fan...

Good Morning Crafties! I ordered this digi stamp from Dilly Beans last month, but never had a chance to use her until I saw the current challenge at Dilly Beans is "Washi Tape" and I was inspired to create.

I have to admit, I get different levels of satisfaction out of different projects when they are done. This project is one of those I am in love with!

Maybe it's the red (note to self: use more red).

Maybe it's the butterfly.

Or maybe it's the Tracy Porter ceramic coffee mug I got to use in the photo shoot.  I love this mug and don't use it enough!  Whatever it is, this card makes me happy.

Washi Tape:

I folded my washi tape on itself so there were no sticky sides, then I made the fan (remember those we used to make when we were little girls out of notepaper) and added it to the sentiment.

Materials used:

Image - Dilly Bean Digi
Coloring - Copics
Washi Tape (fan)
Butterfly - Recollections
Green paper - Cosmo Cricket Jolly Day
Rose - white Walmart rose colored with Copics

Fall Girl

The sentiment is hard to read, but it says "Such a Happy Day" which is how I view Thanksgiving, which is kind of what this card is for.  She is dressed up ready for her Thanksgiving dinner.  My love affair with Flat Friends images continues...I think they are such unusual, cool images.  Hope you like this design.

Elfish Greetings

Is Elfish a word? Or should I used Elven?  Either way, this little guy is a sweet retro Christmas color from Cosmo Cricket the line is Jolly Days that I think is from last year as I picked it up at Tuesday Morning for a great price!

The sketch I used is from YNS Sketch #4!

I had fun with the embellishments and bling!  Let me know if I'm overdoing the exclamation points!!
